Tahini, aka sesame butter, is a pantry staple that mixes well in dips and sauces – making everything creamier, nuttier, and a little bit Mediterranean. It is also a great source of calcium and the essential amino acid lysine.
Try this simple sauce over dark leafy greens, grains, tempeh, sweet potatoes, or as a dip or smear for your favorite wrap.
Basic Tahini Sauce

1 tablespoon tamari
Freshly ground black pepper
Optional add-ins:
- dried or fresh minced dill
